I think the greatest thing going on my summer is getting to see God’s shine through all the trials I’ve faced this summer. Even when things have looked pretty bad somehow He always comes through in a big way.

Just for the record, you owe me $30 because I correctly guessed pacifier as well. I guess it’s out of sight out of mind, huh? Haha.

The greatest part of my summer is on the Internet, virtually hanging out with Jimmy Trent. I’ve been trying really hard to have a conversation with you like you keep saying. But, when I verbally say something to you when you are on my screen, you don’t respond or answer my questions. I guess it’s kinda like a one-sided convo. It’s cool…I just like hangin’ out to be a two way thing. But I guess Hangin’ with Jimmy is a different kind of hangin’.

I’m here Chris and I love you! Just keep talking to the screen, it should work. At least that is what the program said would happen…

    Hey Jimmy!
The best part of my summer was this past week–I was a counselor at the Southland Conference for middle schoolers. My church goes every year, and being there with the kids reminded me how much I love working with middle schoolers. It reminded me that I chose to be an Event Management major so that I could plan for a youth group and just hang with kids to see how God is working in their lives and help them to grow.

Can’t wait to be back next month!

    Hey Jimmy!

The best thing about my summer so far is very similar to what James said. God is truly teaching me to trust him and only him by stripping away things in my life, leaving me bare, and showing to me just how completely dependent upon him I am. It is a great day to be alive, because this is the day the Lord has made and “The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.”

i just watched that from africa… way to go jimmy! the best part of my summer has been God teaching me how badly he wants his name to be known… one of the best things this summer was seeing about 80% of an anemist village give up their idols and follow Christ… God is faithful

For certain the best part about my summer has been to see how much God shows up when you need him. I was in East Aisa this summer and was completely lost in every capacity: language, culture, even in my faith at times. But every time I called on Him from the pit, he was there.
Luke 11:10 has rung in my ears constantly this summer. And it is a great day to be alive because when we knock out of our depravity he lets us receive the spirit and lifts us up!

It’s a great day to be alive because of new beginnings

“Today is the first day of the rest of your life”

    O-town, here I come

It’s a GREAT day for me because I just bought Travis Tritt’s “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive” and started my day with it! Thanks Jimmy for pointing me in the right direction. Travis Tritt is tomorrows Chris Tomlin for sure!

One of my fav country songs! But it truly is a great day and summer to be alive! I’m writing from a farm in Ohio surrounded by fields of corn and it’s pretty awesome! This summer I’ve matured a lot in my relationships with other people and it’s been a catalyst for maturing my relationship with Christ. I’m slowly making a transition from trying to live my life FOR Christ…to living my life WITH Christ. In doing so I’m developing a more intimate Friendship with the Man I have always called My Daddy. And it’s neat because I’m also making that transition with my own parents of gaining more of a friendship with them as I transition into adulthood. It’s tough though, because even though my parents Love me so much, and even though they are still there to protect me and help me, they have to let go in some ways. It’s also tough because Friendships are two-sided and both sides have to make a concerted effort to grow in a more intimate relationship. Jimmy you’d be proud because one of the ways that I make that effort to grow in Friendship with Christ is journaling…I’ve been doing it for many years and can’t wait to watch your video about it!
